STROKE
- Record the strokes taken on each hole.
- The scores for all 18 holes are added up at the completion of the round to calculate the Gross score which is recorded in the Gross box.
- The Nett score is calculated by subtracting a player’s handicap from the player’s Gross score and is recorded in the Nett box.
The results are uploaded to GolfAust
STABLEFORD
- A player’s score in Stableford competition is converted into points at each hole played in relation to his/her handicap.
- The Stroke Index column on the score card indicates how many strokes a player receives on a hole.
- The player’s score for each hole should be placed in the appropriate column and the points in the Result column. After the handicap is applied – Par receives 2Pts, Bogie 1Pt, Double Bogie 0 Pts, Birdie 3 Pts, etc.
- If a player has played too many shots on a particular hole and cannot score any points they should pick up their ball to help speed up play.
- The points are added up at the completion of the round and recorded in the Nett box.
The results are uploaded to GolfAust
BEST 2 OF 4 STABLEFORD
- Each player gets their own card.
- Play as a normal Stableford game marking the card accordingly.
- The computer will calculate the best 2 score for each hole for the team.
- Everybody can give and receive advice. Work as a team.
- The team with the highest number of points is the winner.

BEST 3 OF 4 STABLEFORD

- The scores are then added by the computer with the highest number of points winning.

FOUR BALL BEST BALL – MULTIPLIER
- Each player gets their own card.
- In 4 BBB Multiplier the two partners multiply their Stableford scores on each hole.
- Both players strokes and points must be recorded on each card.
- The computer multiplies the points for each hole, then adds up the round for the total score.
- The pair with highest number of points is the winner.

SPLIT SIXES
- Each player gets their own card.
- Scoring is done using Stableford points.
- The highest points score of one partner is recorded by the computer as the team score for the first six holes (1 to 6).
- The sum of the two highest points scores of the partners are recorded by the computer as the team score for the next six holes (7 to 12).
- The sum of the three highest points scores of the partners are recorded by the computer as the team score for the next six holes (13 to 18).
- Everybody can give and receive advice. Work as a team.
- Pick up if you know that the computer will not use your score. Move to the next hole.
- The team with the highest number of points is the winner.

AMBROSE – 2 OR 4 PERSON
- These are single card events
- A team stroke event played by either a group of two or four.
- Each player plays a tee shot at each hole. The team then selects and marks the best drive which is then played by its owner.
- The other members retrieve their ball and drop their ball within one club-length, no nearer the hole, of the selected position and play their second shots.
- This procedure of selecting the best position continues until a ball is holed.
- When on the green, balls are placed within one score card length no nearer the hole, of the selected spot.
- A tee shot rule is applied (6 tee shot rule for 2 person Ambrose; and 4 tee shots for a 4 person Ambrose), each player must use the minimum number of tee shots specified and the person whose tee shot was taken must be shown on the card.
- Everybody can give and receive advice. Work as a team.
- Handicaps are calculated as follows:
- 2 Ball – one quarter of combined handicaps
- 4 Ball – one eighth of combined handicaps

AMBROSE HART BALL – 4 PERSON
- These are single card events.
- The names are listed in order of play 1,2,3,4.
- In between tee and green a normal Ambrose format is played by all 4 players.
- Tee 1: 1 & 2 tee off – 3 & 4 putt
- Tee 2: All 4 players tea off and putt
- Tee 3: 3 & 4 tee off – 1 & 2 putt
- Tee 4: 1 & 3 tee off – 2 & 4 putt
- Tee 5: 2 & 4 tee off – 1 & 3 putt
- Tee 6: 1 & 4 tee off – 2 & 3 putt
- Tee 7: 2 & 3 tee off – 1 & 4 putt
- Tee 8: All 4 players tee off and putt
- Tee 9: 1 & 2 tee off – 3 & 4 putt
- Tee 10: All 4 players tee off and putt
- Tee 11: 3 & 4 tee off – 1 & 2 putt
- Tee 12: 1 & 3 tee off – 2 & 4 putt
- Tee 13: 4 & 2 tee off – 1 & 3 putt
- Tee 14: All 4 players tee off and putt
- Tee 15: 1 & 4 tee off – 2 & 3 putt
- Tee 16: 2 & 3 tee off – 1 & 4 putt
- Tee 17: 1 & 2 tee off – 3 & 4 putt
- Tee 18: 3 & 4 tee off – 1 & 2 putt

Vs PAR
- Each player gets their own card.
- Using Stableford points system, if you get 2 points on a hole mark as a square (halved)
- If you get 3 or 4 points on a hole mark as a + (win)
- If you get 1 point or less on a hole mark as a – (loss)
- Add up the +’s and -‘s for a final score eg. (6 -‘s and 4+’s = -2 result)
- If you can’t square the hole mark as a loss, pickup and move on.
- Mark the card of the gross score, the computer will calculate the result.

AMERICAN FOURSOMES
- This is a single card game.
- American Foursomes is played in pairs using 3/8 the combined handicap to calculate the team’s Nett score.
- Both partners tee off from each tee.
- They then play their second shot with their partner’s ball.
- They then select the best ball and the partner of the player whose shot was selected plays the team’s third shot.
- The pair plays alternate shots thereafter until the ball is holed. Do not play two shorts in a row.
- Your partner can give and receive advice. Work as a team.
- The team with the lowest nett score is the winner.

CANADIAN FOURSOMES
- This is a single card game.
- Canadian Foursomes is played in pairs using 3/8 the combined handicap to calculate the team’s Nett score.
- Both players tees off from each tee.
- The pair choses the best shot.
- The partner of the player whose shot was selected plays the team’s second shot. Then play alternate shots thereafter until the ball is holed. Do not play two shots in a row.
- Your partner can give and receive advice. Work as a team.
- The team with the lowest nett score is the winner.

SHAMBLE
- This is a single card game
- Scoring using Stableford points system
- Each player tees off
- Choose the best drive then everyone plays their own ball until holing out
- Write down the best single score for the hole
- Minimum of 3 drives per player
- Par 3s everyone plays their own ball until holing out
- The handicap is 3/4 of the total team handicap.
